Why on earth would anyone want to sleep over at their work? Well, in truth there probably isn’t a soul alive that will want to sleep over on the job but ‘want to’ is often very different from ‘have to’. Many jobs require employees to sleep over to ensure that everything runs smoothly and sometimes even entrepreneurs have to put in a lot of extra hours during certain tough times. Sleeping over is sometimes the only option you have but that doesn’t mean that it has to be uncomfortable at all. In fact, spending a night or two on the job can be quite fun if you have the right gear.
Wear your nametag!
Sleeping on the job can be dangerous if this isn’t a usual habit. Security personnel might think that you are an intruder which could get deadly. It is especially important to wear a high quality, well branded nametag if you have to sleep over on the job, even if you are wearing your pajamas. That way security can identify you and you will be just a bit safer.
Get an inflatable bed
With a Spring Air Mattress you can sleep as cozy and comfy as you would have slept at home, if not even better because the modern air mattresses are specially developed to give you luxury quality rest. They fold up into a tiny carry bag that you can transport easily and you can find any size you want including queen size. The mattresses are easily inflated and deflated which makes it the perfect solution for an overnight on the job.
Stock up on some bedding
A thin sheet, pillow and comforter or blanket is all you will need to tag along as an extra for the evening, depending on the climate of course. If you are the tough kind of person that can sleep anywhere then just a mattress will probably do though.
Order your dinner
You are already spending the night on the job and likely to work until the early morning hours. What you don’t want on an evening that is probably going to be tedious is bad food. Get your boss to spoil you a bit with some takeaways – yes, even if it ruins your diet – and make the most of your terrible night with some good snacks and good drinks.
Remember to ask for the Wi-Fi password
A lot of people find it hard to sleep in a strange environment, especially if that environment is a workplace that could be targeted for a robbery at any moment. The internet is a great way to kill some time if you have waiting to do and to calm your senses when you are too wired up to sleep. Ask your boss to give you the Wi-Fi password so you can at least enjoy a bit of online gaming during the evening or at least do some browsing or watch some YouTube videos while you are spending the night with your lonesome self.
